Anna is a qualified attorney-at-law with more than twenty years’ professional experience. She leads SENDERO Tax & Legal’s corporate law practice and is the partner in charge of company law advisory. Ever since the beginning of her career, Anna has supported managements and investors in their business ventures in Poland. Her interests focus on corporate law and civil law. She supports her clients both in everyday matters and in complicated transactions. She has rich experience in siting foreign investment projects in Poland, including in special economic zones. She advises on the identification of beneficial owners and helps with registrations, filings and reporting in respect of company law documents (KRS), financial documents (RDF) and beneficial owner disclosures (CRBR). She provides commercial law training.

Anna’s typical projects include incorporation, acquisition or conversion of companies and businesses, acquisition of real estate, and drafting of due diligence reports.

She has frequently advised on best structures for doing business in Poland as well as providing company incorporation assistance. She has prepared and implemented corporate restructuring projects to ensure her clients’ operations are in step with the changing legal environment while their liability is limited. She has advised on equity contributions into companies, drafted securities prospectuses, and supported businesses in securing greenfield project grants. Recently she has been responsible for several corporate conversion transactions for well-known firms.

Szymon is a qualified tax advisor with more than twenty years of professional experience. He leads Sendero’s indirect tax practice and is the partner in charge of tax compliance advice. Ever since the beginning of his career, Szymon has been focusing on VAT. He supports his clients both in everyday matters and in complicated transactions. He has rich experience as a successful tax litigator, including in precedential cases before the Supreme Administrative Court.

Recently Szymon has been responsible for many tax compliance projects. He managed MDR work, including identification of reportable arrangements and development of internal procedures, as well as providing advice on building tax governance frameworks among his clients, especially by assisting them in defining and implementing the required tax strategy and the underlying internal procedures and policies. His clients include mainly large manufacturers, particularly members of multinational automotive corporations.

Szymon has co-authored a pioneering Polish commentary on the EU VAT directive. He regularly publishes on current VAT matters and writes for Sendero’s VAT BLOG which is under his charge content-wise.

Łukasz is a qualified attorney-at-law with more than twenty years’ professional experience. He leads Sendero’s contracts practice. Contract law is the core practice area for Łukasz. He advises clients in every day matters of commercial contracting as well as in complicated transactions. Łukasz’s contracts practice focuses mainly on office and industrial leases. In recent years he has been involved in preparing or negotiating dozens of such leases commercialised by key national and regional real estate players.

Łukasz also specialises in providing M&A negotiation support, particularly in trade and business sales. He was involved in an advisory capacity in a number of greenfield projects (such as construction of factories) and the related efforts to obtain state aid in the form of tax relief. Over the years he has supported clients in contracts whose total value is well above PLN 1 billion.

His client base includes mainly large manufacturers and service providers, both Polish-owned and members of multinational corporations.

Grzegorz is a qualified tax advisor with more than twenty years of professional experience. He leads Sendero’s corporation tax practice and is the partner in charge of transfer pricing. Ever since the beginning of his career, Grzegorz has been advising Polish and foreign clients on corporation tax (CIT). His experience includes tax audits, tax planning for investment projects and shareholding structures, and analysing tax effects of high-value transactions. He has successfully represented his clients in many cases before administrative courts.

Grzegorz has created and heads the transfer pricing department, one of Sendero’s pillars for many years now.  The team serves the largest taxpayers in the region by offering comparability analyses (benchmarking studies), representing clients in disputes with tax administration, and providing advice allowing clients to control their business margins for TP purposes. His competences have been acknowledged in the Rzeczpospolita ranking of Tax Consultancies in which he has been ranked as a recommended transfer pricing advisor every year since 2017.

Anna is a qualified attorney-at-law with more than twenty years’ professional experience. She leads Sendero’s real estate practice and is the partner in charge of investment project consulting, including in terms of environmental law.

She has advised clients in a number of high-profile real estate transactions, including sales and purchases of office or residential properties as well as land acquisitions for greenfield projects. She has taken part in group restructuring and reengineering transactions as well as in corporate mergers, acquisitions, divisions and conversions.

Her clients are mainly real estate developers.

Recently she has been involved in a purchase of land for the construction of a motor parts factory in the Silesia region. She has also advised on the acquisition of commercial real properties for lease and assisted in land acquisition for multi-family residential development projects. She has successfully represented our client before an administrative court in a case involving funding under the Innovative Development Operational Programme, securing a PLN 5M+ grant for the client’s project.

Ever since the beginning of his career, Rafał has professionally explored financial markets and broad banking industry. He was involved in the restructuring of the Polish banking sector. With time, he came to provide regular assistance to a bank. Then he assisted in the emergence of the largest private financial group in Poland. At that time his focus was on consumer protection in the financial services industry.

Until late 1990s, Rafał was deeply involved in privatization. He took part in large projects contracted by the then Ministry of Ownership Transformations (including the privatization of state-owned enterprises, such as the Jelcz motor company and the PHS food wholesaler). He was engaged for various activities in course of the General Privatization Programme (working for VI NFI Magna Polonia, one of the National Investment Funds). Later he worked on the privatization of a large majority of Polish mining companies.

Since 2000, Rafał’s focus has been on employment law. At first he worked as an employment lawyer for the largest French investor in Poland and then for dozens of other employers and sometimes even for top executives. His special practice areas within employment law are trade unions, employer’s social and welfare activities, and health and safety at work, including occupational diseases.

In 2004, Rafał started to pay close attention to personal data protection. After more than ten years he managed a team of lawyers to successfully implement GDPR for several dozen clients. About that time Rafał also started to deal with broad matters of product and service quality and continues to develop his experience in this area.

In early 2010s Rafał’s professional interests expanded to include intellectual property and unfair competition.

He was involved in lots of interesting projects. He acted as chief counsel in land acquisition for the construction of the tallest building in Wrocław. He successfully assisted in the employment restructuring of one of the best known Polish orchestras. He drafted model pay rules for major technical universities and academies in Poland. He was involved in nearly 100 due diligence investigations of various entities. His clients are employers for a total of over 40,000 people

A law graduate of the Wrocław University (1994). From 1994 to 1996 worked on large restructuring and privatization projects as part of Nicom Consulting, a consultancy led by Henryka Bochniarz. In 1996-2000 Rafał was an employee of the Legal Department of WBK S.A. while at the same time using his earlier experience to work on many privatization projects together with Arcanum. Having been admitted as attorney-at-law in 2000, Rafał worked with Domański Zakrzewski Palinka law firm, including as head of its Wrocław office (2000-2001, 2003-2005). In 200-2001 he was on the staff of the Department of Commercial Law at what is today the Wrocław University of Economics. Paweł is a qualified attorney-at-law with more than twenty five years’ professional experience. He is co-managing partner at Sendero and leads its dispute resolution and litigation practice. He is in charge of Sendero’s German desk for legal services rendered in German.

Paweł provides client representation in judicial proceedings and coordinates the work of Sendero’s litigation lawyers for both civil and administrative cases. The total value of cases he has managed exceeds PLN 100 million.

Jacek is an attorney-at-law with more than 20 years of professional experience, currently heading Sendero’s Energy, Electronic Communications and State Aid Practice. His professional career includes legal assistance for local authorities, government departments, Office of Electronic Communications, Telecommunications Institute and, more importantly, for businesses, mainly in the infrastructure sectors. Jacek has authored several hundred legal opinions, spoken at training courses and industry conferences, and provided client representation in numerous cases before administrative courts. Engaged by the Polish telecom regulator (Prezes UKE), he headed a team of drafters working on a legislative proposal which later became the Telecommunication Networks and Services (Development Support) Act. He has been involved in work on removal of obstacles in telecommunication investments, natural gas extraction, nuclear power plant development, modernization of power transmission lines and railways, and in legal assistance for key companies in those sectors. In addition, he offered legal assistance in projects under the government Clean Air programme. For many years he was an expert for telecommunications industry association and was recommended by Chambers Europe for Telecommunications–Media–Technology.

Jacek headed a team of advisors working on state aid notification to the European Commission in relation to projects „Sieć szerokopasmowa Polski Wschodniej” (Eastern Poland’s Broadband Network), „Internet dla Mazowsza” (Internet for Mazowsze Region), „Budowa WSS” (Development of Wielkopolska Broadband Network), whose total value exceeded PLN 1.5 billion. In his mind, the most important of his career developments included providing legal assistance for the Play mobile telecom for more than 10 years of its presence in Poland, and successful implementation of fibreoptic network development projects.

In 2000-2005 he worked for a Wrocław-based law firm, providing services to such clients as a multinational telecom and a manufacturer of urban buses, while doing his trainee attorney-at-law practice. Jolanta supports our lawyers in their everyday client work. She assists them in drafting opinions, legal memoranda, suits or other pleadings, and does legal research into enacted law, precedents and scholarly authorities. She is responsible for supporting the legal team in document drafting and keeping in touch with authorities in course of administrative proceedings.

A graduate of the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics at the University of Wrocław, she completed her law studies in 2022 and a post-graduate Compliance in Management Practice programme in 2023. In January 2024 Joanna is starting her vocational training as a trainee advocate with the Wrocław Bar. Sendero’s relationship with Jolanta goes back to her student times when she came to us for a student placement. She had her initial professional experience also with solo advocate practices where she provided assistance to lawyers supporting businesses or individuals. She joined Sendero Tax & Legal in early 2023.
