Equipping the Information Portal with an additional function for service of process will in practice put the interests of law clients under threat in various ways.
3 July 2021 came as a breakthrough in relations between courts and professional counsel in civil matters. As of that date and until one year after the end of the longer of the COVID-19 related situations: epidemic emergency or epidemic, court process may be served by being posted in the Information Portal. While this change is intended to be temporary (it follows from amendments to the Act of 2 March 2020 on special measures to prevent, counter and combat COVID-19, other infectious diseases and the related crisis emergencies), it seems the path will be followed.
