In a prologue to this year’s Bach Festival, Franco Fagioli showed us what a real vocal virtuoso is! It’s not every day that one can listen to an art of this class and the audience unsurprisingly did not want to say goodbye to the singer, applauding him for a long time even after the last encore. Such a spectacular opening heralds a festival rich in extraordinary experiences and great artistic names, said the organisers in a wrap-up of the inaugural concert. And you can hardly disagree with them. The Sunday concert turned out to be a spectacular event for all classical art and music connoisseurs.
